Villa d’Este is considered one of the most beautiful works of architectural art of the 16th century. Designed by Pellegrino Pellegrini known as “Il Tibaldi,” a famous architect of the time, the villa is set in a 10-hectare park with centuries-old plants where you can admire the Pellegrino Pellegrini Nymphaeum, the Fountain of Hercules and the Temple of Telemachus. Fascinating works of art can be admired in its halls, including some from the French school, others from the school of Canova, as well as decorations by Andrea Appiani. Chiara got ready inside the villa in a large room that overlooked the lake itself.
The ceremony was very intimate and collected : the envoys were about twenty. We were happy to be able to photograph them in such a cozy and evocative atmosphere at the same time. Excitedly, the bride and groom exchanged vows feeling all the affection of their loved ones around them.
Although the weather was cloudy the atmosphere was splendid. Here waiting for us was a destination of rare beauty, with villages that seem to have been drawn by painters, unspoiled nature and breathtaking landscapes to draw inspiration from.
Welcoming us were the guests and especially the couple’s granddaughters with whom we continued the photo shoot in the villa’s beautiful gardens. Inside the hotel we returned for dinner, which was set up in a sumptuous hall with beautiful mirrors and chandeliers. After an emotional waltz between Chiara and her dad we went outside to watch the fires that accompanied the cutting of the cake.
