Antonio and Sonia chose Ravello, on the beautiful Amalfi Coast, to celebrate their wedding.
Unlike most of the towns on the Coast, it is not located on the sea: to get there it is necessary to deviate from the coastal road between Amalfi and Maiori and go up a few kilometers. The town of Ravello differs from the other towns on the coast because of its quieter atmosphere: being far from the sea and beaches it is never as crowded as Positano or Amalfi. Especially in the evening, few tourists wander through its narrow streets. Sonia and Antonio prepared together at Villa Cimbrone, a historic building in the town of Ravello. Built on a rocky promontory overlooking the Amalfi Coast, part of the structure is now used as a hotel. The area is largely occupied by a park adorned with statues, antiquities, fountains, and grottos, as well as possessing a belvedere (the Terrace of Infinity) overlooking the Gulf of Salerno and neighboring coastal towns, considered one of the most impressive in the world.

The cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and San Pantaleone is a church in Ravello: it was the cathedral of the diocese of Ravello from its construction until 1818, the year the diocese was suppressed; it has also been a minor basilica since 1918 and a national monument since 1941. In the crypt and in a room near the right aisle is the Cathedral Museum.
After the ceremony, a number of shots were taken among the characteristic alleys of the village.
The reception was held inside the crypt of Villa Cimbrone, but first we took advantage of the wonderful terrace for some photos. Villa Cimbrone’s crypt, although Gothic in style, was built between 1907 and 1911, and was one of the places where London’s prestigious Bloomsbury circle met. The long avenue through the gardens of Villa Cimbrone is covered in the initial part by an arbor of wisteria sinensis.
The full moon accompanied the entire evening, thus creating a fantastic atmosphere.
Welcoming us were guests with local musicians who accompanied us with melodic Neapolitan songs. The final party took place on the panoramic terrace of the villa with DJ set and sweet buffet. The evening gave us a beautiful moon that illuminated the gulf.
