Wedding at Villa Rossi in Tuscany
Lilia and Jack, a German-American couple, celebrated their wedding at Villa Rossi.
Villa Rossi a jewel of Renaissance architecture, built in the early 1500s just minutes from the center of Lucca. The villa is surrounded by four acres of private parkland, where the sunny elegance of the Tuscan garden blends with the romantic charm of an English-style park.
The bride and groom got ready in the villa’s cozy rooms adorned with precious furnishings and perfectly preserved frescoes.
After welcoming the first guests in the garden Jack and Lilia were both escorted down the aisle by their mothers. The manicured English garden was the perfect place for the ceremony because of its intimate size being surrounded by woods and olive groves.
After the rice throwing as their guests reached the loggia for the aperitif, we went with the bride and groom for portraits.
We took advantage of the beauty of the park with its old trees, large lawns, and camellia forest for a romantic bride and groom walk. Dinner and the traditional cake cutting with heart-shaped wild strawberries was held in the frescoed hall! We said goodbye to Lilia and Jack amidst colored lights and music echoing through the night to the surrounding forest.
